Paul Grimwood Scholarship
Awarded annually, the Paul Grimwood Scholarship was established to honour and perpetuate the legacy of Paul Grimwood’s thirty-nine years as Organist and Choirmaster of Central Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, by nurturing the development of a student organist. An award of up to $500.00 will be granted annually for ten years, beginning in 2018, to a student enrolled in the Royal Canadian College of Organists’ Summer Organ Academy. The intention of the award is to offset costs incurred by the student to attend the Summer Organ Academy.
The scholarship will be awarded to a student organist who demonstrates proficiency in organ playing and a keen interest in further development as an organist. To qualify, the student must:
- be a Canadian citizen
- be aged 24 years or less on July 1 in the year of the award
- be a member of the Royal Canadian College of Organists
- attend the Summer Organ Academy in the year of the award
