Organ Festival Canada serves two main purposes. Firstly, it offers the general public the opportunity to hear leading international organists and choirs perform a wide range of repertoire (frequently including premier performances), and it offers members the opportunity to enhance their professional skills through workshops with recognized authorities in their fields. Secondly, the College conducts official business, including the annual Convocation for presentation of  diplomas, certificates and prizes, and to recognize significant contributors, the Annual General Meeting, College Worship Service, and meeting of the National Council.

Many feel the greatest reward of attending is the opportunity to meet informally with colleagues from across the country to gather information and inspiration.
